In early August 2024, over 200 growers, agents and consultants came along to CSD’s Mastering Cotton Forum to learn and talk about seeding success.
Ian Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, CSD
Ian opens the Forum to talk about how CSD over the past 12 months have worked hard to deliver on the company’s commitment to deliver the highest quality seed to growers, showing marked improvement in measures such as germination score.
Ian talks through the beginnings of the development of CSD’s next Strategic Plan, outlining the longer-term future ambitions of the company, the foundations of which to be built from 2025 to 2030.
Hannah Hartnett, Research Manager, CSD
Did you know the quality assurance program at CSD tests seed 50 times before being sold to growers. Hannah walks through the QR code system on bags and how to interpret quality data.
Hannah also talks through the demonstration of germination at different soil temperatures, using a thermogradient table.
