Seed treatments
All commercial cotton planting seed supplied by CSD has a base fungicide applied as approved by the Australian Disease Treatment Standard. Adding an insecticide treatment provides both seed and seedlings protection from a range of pests and diseases which may impact the establishment of cotton crops.
Product codes
Short product codes will at times be used on CSD documents such as invoices. The codes are shown in the following table.

This eliminates on-farm mixing, planter downtime, and handling risks – your seed arrives ready to plant. Every treated bag also contributes to the FastStart™ R&D program, supporting ongoing research into improved cotton establishment across Australia.
CSD also partners with eChem to supply insecticide seed treatment, to protect seedlings from early-season pests like thrips, aphids, brown beetles, and wireworms.
Fungicide Seed Treatments
VIBRANCE® CST (V)
VIBRANCE® CST is the trusted base fungicide seed treatment for Australian cotton growers. Containing four active ingredients – Azoxystrobin, Metalaxyl-M, Fludioxonil and Sedaxane – it delivers reliable protection against key soil-borne diseases, rhizoctonia and pythium during the critical germination and emergence period.
VIBRANCE® Complete (V2)
Upgrade to VIBRANCE® Complete for the broadest fungicide protection available for Australian cotton. This five active ingredient combination, jointly developed by Syngenta and CSD under the FastStart™ program, adds Bion® for targeted activity against
fusarium wilt and black root rot to rhizoctonia and pythium. Field trials show a 27% improvement in plant stands over untreated seed, with faster emergence and reduced replant risk. When disease pressure is high and establishment is everything, choose V2.
Insecticide Seed Treatments
CRUISER® 600FS (C)
CRUISER® 600FS is the industry-standard insecticide seed treatment for Australian cotton. Containing 600 g/L Thiamethoxam, this second-generation neonicotinoid delivers systemic control of sucking, chewing and soil-dwelling pests – including thrips,
aphids and wireworms – from germination through to stand establishment.
CRUISER® Extreme (X)
For higher pest pressure environments, CRUISER® Extreme delivers extended, robust insect protection from planting through to stand establishment. Applied at double the rate of CRUISER® 600FS, it provides prolonged residual activity where wireworm, thrips or aphid populations are known to threaten early crop establishment. When the pressure is on, CRUISER® Extreme gives your crop the best possible start.
Genero 600 (G)
Supplied by eChem (Australia).
The company supplies Genero 600FS Flowable Seed Dressing Insecticide for use in cotton and other crops. Genero 600FS contains Imidacloprid and gives cotton seedlings robust protection against thrips, aphids, brown beetles and wireworms.
