07 June, 2021
Cotton Seed Distributors Ltd. (CSD) has promoted Chris Teague to the newly created role of Data and Digital Manager, to lead the company’s agronomy software initiative.
In announcing the appointment, CSD General Manager – Growth and Development, James Quinn said, “Chris was a stand-out candidate for the role, with his wealth of experience as an Extension and Development Agronomist and his aptitude for digital innovations bridging the gap between data, agronomy and management.”
“In his new role, Chris will be responsible for the management and delivery of CSD’s agronomy software to the Australian cotton industry, as well as leading the development of new technologies to create value for growers and consultants.”
“Chris has been a valued member of the CSD Extension team since 2016, where he managed the MacIntyre Valley, St George and Dirranbandi extension program and took a lead in developing many of CSD’s new digital tools, such as BARRY, STEFFTM and CottonTrackaTM (patent pending),” said James.
CSD recently embarked on a new Strategic Plan with a vision of ‘Growing the Australian cotton crop through innovative solutions beyond seed’. Across six strategic focus areas, the Strategic Plan lays out a blueprint for the next five years, and sets the foundation for the long-term future of the organisation.
Chris Teague commenced as Data and Digital Manager in May 2021, and will be succeeded by Angus Marshall in the MacIntyre Valley, St George and Dirranbandi role.
