The Role

The CSD Extension team work closely with all stakeholders providing excellent customer service to promote and market CSD cotton varieties, management practices and cotton research information to the Australian cotton industry, whilst developing high quality relationships and they now have a vacancy for a rotational graduate role.

Responsibilities associated with this graduate role include:
  • Providing support to the CSD Ambassador, Agronomy and Trial programs.
  • Developing relationships with new and existing clients providing agronomic support and services.
  • Liaising with growers regarding crop management practices and inputs for trials during the season and assisting with cropping plans and agronomy decisions.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of CSD Extension activities as part of a continuous improvement cycle.
  • Assist in facilitating adaptation and the adoption of research.
  • Attending conferences, trades shows, field days, and industry meetings.
  • Work closely with industry personnel to coordinate regional activities.
  • Data collection and producing publications for various platforms.
The Person
To be successful in the role you will ideally have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science, Agronomy or related discipline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and the ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Possess strong problem solving and innovative thinking skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft tools.
