This was one of the driest summers for Springridge with most summer cropping being impacted upon. There was very little rain in January and February of 23mm. The trial struggled in the heat placing pressure on the pivot irrigation. The crop continued slowly putting on bolls and insect pressure was relatively light this season. The yields were unexpected pleasing considering the tough season with Sicot 714B3F winning the trial. The classing in the trial was exceptional. A little help from rain would have have dramatically increased the yields in this field.
