CSD Launches Niche Seed Grading facility

Australian owned grain producer CSD Grains has announced it has added a custom grain and seed grading service to its already successful planting seed and processing operation.

CSD Grains general manager Peter Rozendaal said the state of the art grading facility would complement the existing business, and provides a unique custom grading service for clients.

“The grading facility has a large capacity which allows for high speed cleaning and scalping, and also includes a de-stoner and gravity table. This capacity allows for fast turn – around times” he said.

“The facility is fully certified and has the capacity to produce organic and food grade products and we can dispatch the graded grain in bulk or into 30kg bags ready for delivery to domestic or international markets,” he said.

“We’re located at Westbrook, just out-side Toowoomba in Queensland which is an ideal hub for this sort of operation – on the doorstep of the Darling Downs and on the main thoroughfare to the Brisbane Ports,” he said.

Mr Rozendaal said the facility was operated by a team highly skilled in seed grading led by Brian Strong, a seed industry veteran with 20 years of specialised organic and niche grading experience.

“We have the capacity and experience to work with any grain, and with our first class facilities and experienced team, we’re sure clients will be impressed at what we can offer,” he said.

In an industry-first, CSD Grains this season also offered pre-inoculated soybean planting seed guaranteed for 60 days after treatment – an innovation offering many efficiencies to growers.

“CSD is a company built on innovation – firstly through our world-leading cotton seed business and now through our grains division,” Mr Rozendaal said.

“Like our innovation in planting seed, this grading facility is offering unique and world-leading technologies to our clients,” he said.

Mr. Rozendaal said custom seed grading would be competitively priced and people should contact CSD Grains to discuss their individual grading needs and the range of pricing options.
