Silverleaf Whitefly Management

Silverleaf whitefly is an introduced insect pest, resistant to many insecticides, and capable of multiplying rapidly when conditions are right. Successful management of this pest is reliant on good monitoring, appropriate product selection and where possible, retaining natural enemy populations. Although we have had a cool start to the summer there are signs that the Silverleaf Whitefly population is starting to build in cotton crops on the back of above average temperatures experienced throughout the central valleys.
